Summer Picnic

I received my $12 shorts from Lands' End Canvas yesterday and decided to wear the green gingham ones today.  My husband says they are "cute", "very summery", and "makes me think of a picnic".  I guess those are all good things :).

I am really pleased with the items I have received from Lands' End Canvas.  They seem to be excellent quality and you can't beat the sale prices!!

The current sale which ends today is for women's tees and tanks for $10 and men's poplin shirts for $20.  I haven't checked out any of their men's items, but if the women's are any indication, they are probably nice.  Could be a great gift for the guy in your life since next Sunday is Father's Day.  You can check out the sale and Lands' End Canvas HERE.

Now, I need your help.  How can I style these shorts?  I know the obvious white or chambray shirt, but what else?  Your styling advise on these would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Lovely shorts. I LOVE gingham shorts!! Look so cute on you. I'm still new to wearing colored bottoms and I always play safe pairing with those. Yellow/beige/light green tops would for sure work. Or you can try layering a basic tee with a lightweight cardigan/jacket.

  3. Thanks STG! I feel like I'm playing it safe if I don't throw in at least one more pattern, but I'm having a hard time with the color. I like to do stripes with checks, but with this green I think it would be too much. I'm thinking solid pink might work too.

  4. I think that a really funky color would be fun like a bright purple and orange jewelry, it's summer have fun and play the color pallette!!

  5. I like your LEC shorts! I love navy with Kelly green...such a classic combo. Then add a pop of color or two, and you are set!
