Collection Cafe Capri in Black Tie Silk

These pants were a return to my local store.  They were priced less than the online sale price PLUS 50% off!  I grabbed them so fast it wasn't funny :).  I love, love, love them!

They aren't lined but the silk is a nice weight that doesn't feel clingly.

I bought this top on final sale at Ann Taylor about 6 months ago for $9.99.  I bought these cafe capris from J. Crew on final sale about 2 weeks ago for $17.99.  Amazingly they are e.x.a.c.t.l.y. the same color so I just had to wear them together.

The shoes are Truth or Dare by Madonna and I bought them on sale (of course) at Macy's.  They look alot like the new J. Crew Everly gold mirror metallic pumps, no?  BTW, I didn't pay $255 for them :).

Crew) about the "art of the collar"?  I decided to try the layering of necklaces tip.  I liked the idea of tying one of my husband's pocket squares around my collar, but I'd surely look like a dork :).

This factory sweater sold out very quickly so I'm glad I grabbed it when I first saw it.  I figure the lobster sweater will move quickly as well so I placed my online Factory order last night.  All the new stuff is up to 30% off online.

J Crew Collection Graphic Print Pants

I ordered these pants a couple of months back when they first went on sale.  I wanted them when I found out the pattern is navy and mint.  I have this crazy obsession with all things mint lately.  I liked them (thumb to the side in Gigi speak), but I didn't need them, so back they went.  Fast forward a couple of months AKA now and 40% off final sale.  They popped back in my size and I bit the bullet fearing they would be lost to me forever :).  They are no longer online but I have seen them pop back occassionally in the last couple of weeks.

I realize that I just professed my love for mint AND I did plan to wear a mint top with these pants, but I just couldn't get it together this morning.  So I did a total copy of the J. Crew website.  How lazy is that :)?!

Pattern Mixing 101

I wanted to post my outfit today as there seem to still be some of these J. Crew Herringbone Cafe Capris  around - for MUCH less than I paid for them.  I love them and my price per wear is going down quickly :).  The top is a recent purchase from Ann Taylor Loft which I purchased during a 40% off sale.  I find I just can't buy from Ann Taylor or Loft without the 30% or 40% off because I know it is always just around the corner.

I picked up these Kate Spade pumps on sale at Bloomingdale's recently.  They were on clearance, plus 40% off, plus an extra 15% with my Bloomingdale's card.  Bloomingdale's almost gave me these awesome shoes :).

Minty Stripes

I love this J. Crew Sterling Skirt and the Tippi in Multi-color Stripe.  Both are currently on sale plus an additional 30% off.  This sweater has not sold well and I'm not sure why.  I have found it to be very versatile.  The mint stripe matches the Sheer Mint Sterling Skirt and the lilac stripe matches the Wool Cafe Capri in Iced Lilac.  The Iced Lilac Cafe Capris are currently on sale of $34.99 plus 30% off and it looks like most sizes are still available.

I'm guessing these pastels haven't sold well because people don't think of pastels for fall and winter.  According to the fashion magazines, pastels will be big for spring and summer, so buy them now while they are on sale.

Love, love, love this top!  Loved it so much the solid navy one will arrive on my doorstep tomorrow.  I purchased them both on sale plus 30% off!  I love all these sales J. Crew has been having almost continuously!

Sequins & Silk Sailor Girl

Happy New Year!

 Sometimes when I put these outfits together, they look cuter in my mind than in real life.  I thought I looked pretty cute today until someone at work called me sailor girl.... not sure if that's a compliment :).

I picked up this latest "critter" sweater at the J. Crew Factory Store.  I couldn't resist the nautical motify.  As other bloggers have mentioned, it is pretty thin.  It doesn't bother me as I tend to wear a cami under my merino sweaters anyway.
