I know I have a problem - pencil skirt addiction.  It is just such a no-brainer uniform for work.  I am loving burgundy for fall.  I received the Tippi sweater in Heather Burgundy today which I ordered when sweaters were 30% off.  LOVE.

J. Crew Tiered Tank

Although I get perturbed constantly with J. Crew, mostly because of pricing and the need to constantly play the buy and return game with them, today's outfit reminded me why I keep going back.   And why they get the majority of my clothing budget.  I can wear their clothes for literally years and still find it fresh and fun to wear.  I have had this top for for 3 years and still love it as much now as when I bought it.  And this is not the only piece, I have many I feel the same way about.

Target Review: Printed Denim

I received my printed denim jeans today that I ordered from Target.  Suprisingly, I really like them all.  They all are very comfortable and have some stretch.  I typically wear a size 2 in J. Crew pants/skirts and I took a Juniors size 7 in all 4 pairs.

Also, don't forget the floral and the snake print are only $20 through Saturday.  You really can't beat the prices on these if you are ready to jump on the printed denim bandwagon for Fall.

Ok, the hard part: I now have 4 pairs of printed skinny jeans and I don't need them all.  Can you help?  Which ones do you like best?

Where does J. Crew come up with these color names?!  Green and navy is one of my favorite color combos and I was glad to pick up this skirt for less than $30 on sale.

Brown & Navy

I've never worn brown and navy together and now it is one of my favorite color combos.  I'm not sure where I got the idea, but it works.  I think this color combo is good for Fall.  Since my move to Florida, I tend to go with colors that read "Fall" rather than fabrics.

I purchased these Nine West pumps at Marshall's a few weeks ago and can't stop wearing them.  They are truly the most comfortable pair of work shoes that I have ever owned.  I also like that they match my Michael Kors handbag perfectly.  I know it's old-fashioned to match your shoes to your handbag, but I like it.  I always feel more "put together" when they match.

And BTW, I bought this skirt when JC was having the 40% off sale.  It was $29.99 plus 40% off!!!  Can't beat that for a lined pencil skirt in a color that is a work and closet staple.

Owls at Work

I wore my new Gap owl print shirt to work today.  I paired it with my J. Crew #2 pencil skirt in Golden Sunflower.  I think this is an outfit I can wear well into Fall here in South Florida.

I stopped by the Crewlet today to do some returns and was able to pick up the new retail Style Guide for September.  LOVE!  Many items from this roll-out are now on my wishlist!  I like the new items much better than the August roll-out.

Gap Reviews

Thanks to Gigi for the head's up and the 40% coupon, I headed to Gap yesterday to grab a couple of things I've been stalking that are sold out online.  I wanted the boyfriend popover shirt in the owl print, the perfect dot shirt, and the saddle brown tassel loafers.  I got the owl print shirt and the loafers, but no dot shirt.  I plan to try a different Gap today for the dot shirt.

I have the Boyfriend Popover Shirt in the elephant print.  I wore it in this post and really love it.  I couldn't wait to get the owl print.  I think it will be great this Fall.  I can wear it with my J. Crew sunflower yellow and natural #2 pencil skirts and gray trousers to work.  And on the week-ends with my J. Crew shorts which I will also still be wearing this Fall :).  It fits TTS.  This is a small.

It's hard to see the color even the close-up, but they are ivory, gray, and mustard yellow.  The main color is an orangy-red.

I also picked up the Tassel Loafers in Saddle Brown.  I wore the Gap black & white polka dot loafers yesterday and hated them.  They rubbed my feet like crazy.  I went ahead and purchased these because the fabric seems much softer and more pliable than the polka dot ones.  We shall see.

Target Review & Sale Alert

After seeing the cute Target sweaters on Gigi HERE,  I had to stop in my local Target yesterday and check them out.  The heart sweater was not for me, but I love the owl one.  I think the fabric is fantastic.  It is 100% cotton and substantial.  The fit is true to size.  I paid $22 yesterday, but they are on sale starting today for $17.

I'll be stopping by Target this week for a price adjustment.  They are so awesome about that.

I also checked out the patterned skinny jeans.  Online they have several different patterns, but not so in-store.  They did have these floral print ones which are sold out online.  I also wanted to check out the snake print and leopard print, but these were not in store.  These floral print jeans pants don't seem like jeans at all to me.  They are pretty thin and stretchy - 67% cotton and poly and spandex.  If you have larger legs, these might not work for you.  I have chicken legs and they are super snug.  They are junior sizes and I took a size 7.  I couldn't get my legs in the size 5.  The colors in these look very Fall to me and that's what I liked most about them.  I can't really wear corduroys which are so Fall to me.  They just don't seem appropriate in SoFlo when Fall means 80 instead of 90.  I paid $22 for these yesterday and they are on sale starting today for $20.

I'm thinking I'll order the snake and leopard prints online and check those out too.  You sure can't beat the price!
