Anthropologie

I'm not a big Anthro shopper.  Although I think their stuff looks cute on others, most of it is not my style.  In recent history I have purchased exactly 2 items from Anthropologie - this skirt and a pair of white pants with swallows on them.  All that being said I clicked through a dress on Gigi's blog yesterday that took me to the Anthro website where I saw a couple of super cute items on sale.  I called my store and they are holding them for me.  If they are winners, I will share :).

This J. Crew Safari Cat Pencil Skirt has been a favorite since I bought it last year.  I continue to find new ways to style it and today I paired it with navy.  I threw in my J. Crew elephant necklace from last year to complete the safari theme.

Not Your 80's Neon

Loving my new J. Crew Neon Tweed Skirt.  This skirt was never on my radar.  Not when it first came out.  Not when it went on super sale.  I took notice of this skirt when my daughter let me know she bought it and loved it.  Well, then I just had to have it too!

In other news, tonight is the first game of the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs.  GO HEAT!!

She Wears The Pants

I almost never wear long pants.  Since it was supposed to be a yucky, rainy day today it seemed like a good long pants day.  They also were a no-brainer to wear with my new J. Crew Striped Lightweight Boyshirt (currently on sale online and in-store for $59.99 before the % off).  I bought this shirt 3 times and returned it twice.  For some reason I thought the horizontal stripes looked weird on me.  Never mind that I own and wear about 5,000 striped tees.  Now that I wore it, I own it for real :) and I really like it.  It is lightweight but not super thin.
